Anza Borrego Super Bloom
The winter of 2016/2017 was really wet in the western US, and the following spring saw more wildflowers than I recall in any other recent year. In early March I read on the news about a super bloom in Anza Borrego State Park, a place I'd never heard of about two hours east of San Diego. The news said the flowers would be at peak in about a week, and I had my next weekend free so I booked a last minute ticket to check it out. What an amazing display as I found an incredible desert landscape absolutely bursting with beauty!
